Do I need to book ahead?
​
It’s not mandatory, but we can only guarantee spots on any of our Koh Tao diving courses if you’ve booked in advance. When the island and our team is very busy, we may not always be able to fit you in at short notice. So, leaving a few days in your schedule for flexibility is recommended if you don't want to book your Koh Tao scuba diving activities ahead of time.

Do I need to be able to swim to sign up for a dive course?
​
Koh Tao diving conditions are easy as we usually have excellent visibility, calm seas, and minimal current. However, basic swimming skills are required on all PADI diving courses as a global standard. For example, to begin the PADI Open Water Diver, you must be able to swim 200 meters and float/tread water for 10 minutes. The only exception is the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, which has no official swimming requirements. However, it’s best to have some basic swimming skills to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
Do I need to stay on Koh Tao to take a diving course?

Even if you only want to try diving on Koh Tao, you’ll need at least to stay for at least one night. Need help finding accommodation? Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with friends or family, we have some great recommendations to suit all budgets.
